What this tool does

The same coin can be falling on the 15-minute chart while rising on the daily. Multi-timeframe (MTF) analysis splits one coin into several timeframes to check whether the big trend and the short-term move agree. This tool scores the 15m, 1H, 4H, daily and weekly trend of the top 20 Binance coins by volume from EMA20 and EMA50, puts them in one table, and opens the chart and the reasoning behind any cell you click.

How it is calculated

Each cell fetches 300 Binance spot candles and uses closed bars only (the last, still-forming bar is excluded). Three conditions score +1 or −1 each: (1) close > EMA20, (2) EMA20 > EMA50, (3) EMA20 slope: EMA20 on the last closed bar − EMA20 five bars earlier > 0. The sum is +3 (strong up), +1 (up), −1 (down) or −3 (strong down). The EMA is the same exponential moving average TradingView uses (seeded with the simple average of the first N bars, α = 2/(N+1)); 300 bars are fetched so that seed no longer matters. RSI(14) uses Wilder smoothing. Alignment = timeframes with a score above 0 / timeframes with a score. All up gives 'All up' and all down 'All down'; daily and weekly both up while 15m or 1H is down gives 'Pullback in uptrend', and the reverse 'Bounce in downtrend'; otherwise it is 'Mostly up' if more than half are up, 'Mostly down' if fewer, and 'Mixed' if exactly half. A timeframe with fewer than 50 closed bars (recent listing) shows n/a and is left out.

Things to know

Frequently asked questions

Why is there never a +2 or 0 score?

Each of the three conditions is +1 or −1, so the sum is always odd: −3, −1, +1 or +3. +1 means two of the three conditions point up; −1 means only one does. Click the cell to see which condition is missing.

Why is the still-forming bar excluded?

Its close keeps changing, so a cell could flip between up and down within seconds. Using closed bars means a cell changes once, when a bar closes, and signals stay stable. The trade-off is a delay of up to one bar before a sharp move shows in the score; the chart's last candle still shows the live move.

The EMA differs from TradingView.

An EMA depends on where the calculation starts. Fetching 300 bars removes the effect of the starting value on EMA50; compared with a calculation over 1,000 bars of history, the values matched within 0.01%. If you still see a gap, check that your TradingView chart is Binance spot (not another exchange or futures) and uses the same timeframe.

How are the coins chosen, and how many can I add?

Rows are filled by 24-hour quote volume on Binance's USDT spot market (stablecoins and wrapped tokens excluded), with BTC always pinned at the top as the benchmark. You can add up to 10 coins. To respect the exchange's request limits the table stays at 20 rows (100 requests), so each coin you add replaces the lowest-volume coin.

How often does it update?

Every minute the page checks for newly closed bars and reloads only those cells, so the 15m column changes every 15 minutes and the daily column once a day. Price and 24h change refresh every minute, and the chart below roughly every 30 to 60 seconds. Updates pause while the tab is hidden and resume as soon as you return.
